Utilizing a Commercially Validated CE-IVD Marked Steroid Panel

New panel offers accurate dexamethasone measurement from serum or plasma CS diagnosis

Identification and diagnosis of Cushing’s syndrome (CS) have historically been difficult due to the lack of commercially available, CE-IVD-marked testing options. Traditionally, laboratories developed in-house LC-MS-MS methods for dexamethasone measurement to detect CS. However, these in-house methods lacked inter-laboratory harmonization and resulted in a high false-positive rate.

Join Federico Ponzetto, PhD, from the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Turin to learn more about:

  • The clinical applications of dexamethasone testing
  • Diagnosis and epidemiology of CS
  • The current and new workflow of the dexamethasone suppression test
  • How Tecan’s Steroid Panel LC-MS-MS kit helps to reduce the false-positive rate and systematizes inter-laboratory results
  • The automation potential of diagnostic workflows using equipment such as Freedom Evo® and Resolvex® A200
