Through EV Fingerprinting, researchers fluorescently label EVs and detect them with flow cytometry. Dimensional reduction and clustering of 20 fluorescent features yields distinct EV populations that can be quantitatively analyzed across groups or conditions, enabling the characterization of population changes, such as relative size, lipid composition, cargo expression, and abundance.
