Sumy

Sumy Joseph, PhD, FACMG

is the founding President and Laboratory Director of Cohesion Phenomics. She is a board-certified Clinical Molecular Geneticist. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Pune, India, and her graduate degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Sumy completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and her Clinical Molecular Fellowship at Greenwood Genetic Center in Greenwood, SC. She has significant research experience in the molecular pathways that govern heart development and disease.

In this webinar, Dr. Sumy Joseph of Cohesion Phenomics will cover the utility of Sanger sequencing for molecular diagnostic testing of cardiology disease and the advantages of Sanger sequencing compared to other genomic analysis technologies available.

Additionally, Dr. Joseph will review case studies how Sanger sequencing was utilized to accurately help detect complex and single gene disorders.
