Simon Carter is the UK Science Lead at Arcadis A+U and a specialist in designing innovative buildings for higher education and research for both public and private science.
Simon has over 29 years of experience leading high-profile award-winning projects. With his background as a laboratory design architect, he has previously led projects for FCB Studios in the science & technology sector with an emphasis on life sciences. He has a strong design background having also previously been a director at Alsop Architects and partner at Studio Egret West.
With his background in multi-disciplinary practice, Simon always works across disciplines, collaborating with research groups to advocate regenerative design practices and apply that knowledge to his work. In recent years, Simon has focused on evidence-based research using science for sustainable outcomes but always with art for crafting beautiful places.
