Maryellen de Mars, PhD

Maryellen de Mars, PhD, joined the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) in January 2022 as SRS technical project manager and subsequently moved into the role of program director for clinical diagnostics. Before MDIC, de Mars led efforts for regulatory approval and market launch of a novel molecular platform for the detection of COVID-19 at Integrated Nano-Technologies (INT). de Mars holds a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a doctorate in virology from the University of Texas. She completed postdoctoral training in transcriptional regulation at Johns Hopkins University.
