Luca Quagliata, PhD, BCMAS, COA

Luca Quagliata, PhD, BCMAS, COA, is the vice president and global head of medical affairs for Thermo Fisher's Clinical Sequencing and Oncology Division. Quagliata is trained in medical biotechnology, holds a PhD in vascular medicine, and is a board certified medical affairs specialist. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, he was senior director for the R&D Unit and leader of the Molecular Diagnostics Division, University Hospital Basel, Switzerland. With the goal of enabling precision medicine, Quagliata’s team was among the first in Europe to introduce NGS into routine diagnostics of solid tumors.
