Lisa Calton, PhD

Lisa Calton, PhD, joined Waters in 2000 as an LC-MS application specialist playing a key role in pre- and post-sales customer support where she specialized in laboratory automation and preparative chromatography. She then moved into a role as a pharmaceutical market development manager, where she developed methods in collaboration with customers for a wide range of applications, including regulated bioanalytical analysis, metabolite ID, and impurity profiling using tandem quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry before joining the clinical team in 2006.

Calton received her BSc (Hons) in biomedical science from Sheffield Hallam University and her PhD in analytical biochemistry from the University of Sheffield. She is a member of ADLM (formerly AACC) and received an NHS Scotland Healthcare Science Award for innovation and improved health services in 2008. She holds two patents, has presented her work at conferences worldwide, and has published in several journals, including Clinical Chemistry, Clinica Chimica Acta, Annals of Clinical Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry.
