Lewis Marshall, director of microfluidics at Purigen Biosystems, is a scientific researcher who specializes in electrophoresis and isotachophoresis. He received his PhD in chemical engineering from Stanford University in 2013 and has led the development of automated systems and fluidic devices to purify nucleic acids. He currently leads a team responsible for the development of products to purify nucleic acid from FFPE tissue.
Isotachophoresis offers a novel approach to nucleic acid separation that overcomes the limitations and drawbacks of column- and bead-based methods
