David Latto, PhD

David Latto, PhD, is responsible for scientific and technical discussions with pharmaceutical company clients and covers IQVIA Laboratories’ genomic capabilities, including wet-laboratory methods and assays and the development and validation of genomic assays to support research and clinical programs. These include broad-based screening assays, such as exome and RNA sequencing, focused gene expression, genotyping, sequencing, and liquid biopsy panels that target a smaller number of genes, as well as emerging technologies, such as spatial expression profiling and single-cell analysis. Latto has more than 25 years of industry experience in the biomarker and precision medicine space and has worked for several leading and high-profile “omics”-focused technology and services organizations. He earned his PhD in human molecular genetics from the University of Cambridge.
