
David A. Schwartz, MD, MS Hyg, FRSM, FCAP, is a medical epidemiologist and a board-certified pathologist with specialties in Infectious Disease Pathology and Perinatal Pathology. He has conducted extensive research in emerging viral infections in Africa and elsewhere, including the Ebola virus, other hemorrhagic fevers, and mpox (monkeypox). Schwartz is the co-editor of the Springer Nature book “Pregnant in the Time of Ebola”.
