Daniel Freedman, PhD

Daniel Freedman has been the dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Management and professor of chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Stout since 2023. Prior to that, he served as Dean of the School of Science and Engineering for 11 years at the State University of New York at New Paltz where he also served as founding director of the Hudson Valley Additive Manufacturing Center. In his 34 years in higher education, he has taught a wide variety of chemistry courses and the undergraduate and graduate levels and is particularly proud of spending over twenty years teaching General Chemistry almost every semester. He holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Chemistry from Macalester College.
