Alessandro Albuquerque, MD, MSc, PhD
Alessandro Albuquerque, MD, MSc, PhD, is chief medical officer and vice president of Medical Affairs & Clinical Development at Recordati, overseeing medical affairs, clinical development and operations, pharmacovigilance, medical information, and HEOR across North America. He brings deep leadership experience from senior roles at AstraZeneca, Sanofi, and Amgen, where he supported multiple successful launches across both rare and highly prevalent diseases. He holds advanced degrees in genetic engineering, medical sciences, and drug development and regulation. Albuquerque has a master’s degree in genetic engineering and biotechnology, a PhD in medical sciences, and a postgraduate in drug development and regulation.
