Key findings of the 2021 Wage Survey published by the ASCP in October 2022 reveal that salary hikes have not kept up with the current inflation in this sector. Since 2019, the average hourly wage for staff-level lab professionals has increased for only two occupations—cytologists and clinical lab scientists/technologists.
